About

On Friday 11th February, a team of 10 Wintercomfort staff and friends will be sleeping out at the Abbey Football Stadium in Cambridge alongside around 70 others, as part of the United for Cambridge Sleepout event. Without doubt, the experience will be cold and uncomfortable but for us, thankfully, this will be a short-lived experience. For those we support at Wintercomfort, the discomfort and hardship of sleeping rough is a nightly challenge.

Please donate what you can to raise awareness and vital funds to support Wintercomfort's work with homeless and vulnerably housed people in Cambridge to transform their lives and break the cycle of homelessness for good.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with our friends at Cambridge United Community Trust on this event, whose support of vulnerable and disadvantaged groups in the city is so aligned to our own work.

Wintercomfort is a day centre creating opportunities all year round for homeless individuals. Since 1991, Wintercomfort has supported people who are homeless or at risk of losing their home in Cambridge. They provide practical welfare support, counselling, advice, training and opportunities to help bring long lasting, positive change to the lives of the most vulnerable within our community.

Cambridge United Community Trust use the power of sport and the brand of Cambridge United FC to empower our community and change lives. Money raised from this Sleepout supports their Youth Work Programmes. They work daily with the most vulnerable young people aiming to inspire them to fulfill their potential and in so doing reduce levels of homelessness in our amazing city.
